Catherine and Douglas Fraser look forward to giving a warm welcome laded in traditional Scottish warmth, at Highland's few remaining past era coaching inns. The Inn is strategically located just off the A83 road on the topside of Loch Fyne in Argyll. The view from the top will leave you awe struck, the valley, the mountains & superb forest area all makes the place a visitor's paradise. The inn has fourteen rooms all exceedingly well decorated. All bedrooms are having en-suite and facilities like central heating, Color TV, satellite radio, coffee/tea maker. The inn has a lounge area, sun-bed, sauna, and a well-equipped gymnasium. There is a well stacked bar having a wide range malt whiskey and beverages to choose from. There are 2 deluxe bedrooms and a private spa bath for two and large beds. We used to have coaching stables that presently is used as a Stables Restaurant that has many of the old world charm preserved, beamed ceiling, candle light and great view of the Loch. We prepared special meals for kids as per diet requirements and also pack lunch parcels when required. Because of the ideal site of the Inn tourist will find the Inn to be the perfect place from where they can visit surrounding places like the Trossachs, Campbeltown & the Mull of Kintyre, Loch Lomond, Dunoon & the Cowal Peninsula and also the Western Highlands. Place are so close that you visit and return with a day and the next move to another place of interest. More ahead is the Inveraray that is quite well known for the castle, the Clan Campbell's ancient seat. Inveraray Jail is open for tourist all through the year and was recently voted as Scotland's best new tourist spot. Those who like to take morning walks or those who are avid outdoor activity enthusiast then Cairndow, which is close by has some the best known hill walk tracks and open land also mountaineering here is a treat both visually and sport wise in the whole of Scotland. Some of the close destinations where you can fully enjoy such terrains are Beinn a Lochain, Beinn Ime, Ben Bhuidhe and Ben Vane are all not far away. Why not go and visit the attractive garden of shrubbery at Ardkinglas that has the tallest standing tree Britain. Or it won't be a bad idea to just lie down and relax at our talked about loch-side garden where sea air gives a soothing feeling and the sound of gull cry and oyster catcher above the water can be heard clearly? How to locate Cairndow Inn If Driving: Starting South; an hours easy paced drive starting at Glasgow, To Tarbet from Loch Lomond side, take A83 through "Arrochar Alps". Starting North; Take A82, Crianlarich all the way to Loch Lomond thereafter Tarbet in the end A83 Rail service: To Arrochar, 12-13 kilometers away. Cab service available. Bus Service: To Glasgow and from threre (Buchanan St) Air Transport: Prestwick seventy-eight miles & Glasgow forty-eight miles.
